Remote Streaming

Broadcasters and digital content providers need to capture and preserve the highest possible quality video when acquiring content from news, sports, and other live events. You need something with the ability to process SD, HD, and HDR signals, along with audio channels, to transport these at high speed and with minimal latency over a variety of existing networks. Great encoders are a key requirement in live streaming. There are also small and robust stand-alone devices that make streaming and recording easy. Let us know what you are looking to do and we can talk through what will work best for your project.

IP streaming solution for professional media

Chroma by Streambox enables real-time remote color grading, editorial review and content approvals for post-production. Transport of the highest quality 12-bit 4:4:4 video in various formats, such as 4K HDR, is achievable over public, private, and Streambox Cloud Services IP networks. Post professionals can share, view and listen to content with the necessary detail to make informed decisions from multiple remote locations. Streambox recently announced that the Chroma products now support Dolby Vision® and Dolby Atmos®.

For collaborative workflows in HD, the smaller Chroma X encoder/decoder provides near lossless video quality. You can create streaming content for broadcasting, enterprises, and post production by providing low latency video in HD formats over public and private IP networks.

For playout in 4K, Chroma + is a professional quality 4K video playout device that delivers HDMI output with optional support for Dolby Vision. It is a cost-effective solution to remotely and securely review post-production content in real-time with support for strong 256-bit encrypted connections. Chroma+ allows you to connect through Streambox Cloud Services for real time collaboration in 4K, UHD, 2K and HD.

Another new and exciting product by Streambox is a virtual encoder called Spectra, which extends the capabilities to include color accurate remote review and collaboration. It is deployed as a cloud-based virtual machine and integrates with Avid and Adobe virtual editors. Future iterations of Spectra will support the same capability for virtual machine versions of DaVinci Resolve, Autodesk Flame and FilmLight’s Baselight.

High quality, low-latency video encoding

Haivision’s remote production workflows allow you to cover a wide range of live events, including sports, musical performances and news, without the costly overhead of deploying production teams and OB trucks to each site. By streaming synchronized, low latency multi-camera feeds from live events to the broadcast studio over cost-effective IP networks, you can satisfy the need for more content without the traditional costs or the logistical challenges.

Makito X4 is a highly-secure, ultra low latency HEVC and H.264 video encoder, featuring exceptional video quality, next-gen performance, SRT streaming, and the highest available 4K UHD and HD encoding density. The Makito X4 is ideal for live broadcast contribution, remote production, enterprise, and defense applications.

The Makito X4 Video Decoder is a versatile real-time HEVC/H.265 and AVC/H.264 video decoder. Stream, record and deliver H.264

HELO is AJA’s powerful H.264 streaming and recording stand-alone appliance. HELO brings both SDI and HDMI I/O into a single appliance with the ability to simultaneously stream out to your Content Delivery Network (CDN) as well as encode and record beautiful H.264 files to either SD, SDHC or SDXC cards, USB storage or NFS or CIFS mounted network based storage simultaneously.

HELO makes streaming simple. A USB connection and robust web browser based UI allows you to setup and configure your CDN connection before you even arrive at your event. Once there, simply press the Stream button and deliver your project across HELO’s Ethernet connection, which allows support for RTP/RTSP, RTMP, RTMPE for Facebook live as well as Unicast. HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) support adds compatibility with Apple’s popular iOS devices and more. HELO’s web based GUI even provides a video preview window so that you can ensure you are getting just what you expect.
